Breaking the Generational Curse

Did you know: mental illnesses can be passed down from generation to generation?  Bipolar, depression, and even PTSD (along with numerous other disorders) can be triggered in those with a family history of trauma or abuse.  Oftentimes, these DNA diagnoses are referred to as the ‘generational curse.’  Thankfully, this is one curse that CAN BE BROKEN!  

While treatments often include talk therapy and medication, there are a few home remedies that can unburden our brains.

Eat healthy.  Give your body the power to practice prevention by lunching on leafy greens 🥬 and popping probiotics.

Grab some morning sun ☀️.  Vitamin D supplements are not appropriate substitutes for those golden rays, as their nutritional power will not be activated without sunlight.  Charge your batteries for at least 20 minutes per day, and harness one big, orange, and au naturale  antidepressant! 

Exercise.  A little heart-pumping cardio is a 3 for 1 deal, countering pain and panic with the release of dopamine, serotonin, and the endorphin.  

Be creative.  Knitting 🧶 isn’t just for your grandma!  Crafting balances out overuse of the  ‘intelligent’ side of our brains, thus calming tumultuous waters.  

Practice gratitude.  Reap the rewards of thankfulness by harnessing the power of positivity 💥.  Not only can you rewire your brain for success, you can stack up a whole lotta blessings.
