Four Keys to Happiness (Part IV)

There are four main chemicals in our brains that set the foundation for happiness: Serotonin (the mood booster), Endorphin (the painkiller), Dopamine (the ‘reward’ chemical), and Oxytocin (the ‘love’ chemical). In this segment, we will be wrapping our heads around the warm and fuzzy love chemical, Oxytocin.

Share a hug.  Whether you’re hugging a loved one, a pet, or simply yourself, cozying up to that special someone releases tension and soothes a troubled mind.

Smile.  Grinning from ear to ear is a fast-track to feeling better, and it doesn’t cost a cent!  Fun fact: the brain can’t differentiate between a real smile and a forced one, so show those pearly whites to unlock the feel-good.
